The frequency and costs of individual price adjustment

Article Abstract:

Pricing behavior, price adjustment frequency and adjustment costs were studied to improve macroeconomic model design, which in turn, will be helpful in evaluating monetary policies. Empirical evidence proved that prices do not change often, owing to large costs of price adjustment. The possible impact of infrequent price changes on decision making, buyer-seller relations, and practice of selling is discussed.
