The growth of temporary services work

Article Abstract:

The rise of the temporary services industry has triggered interest and debate in the labor market. In view of these, the quality of temporary services work was examined based on the appropriateness of such jobs in the workers' careers. Several driving forces that have contributed to the growth of temporary services industry were identified. The analysis repels the association of the existence of temporary services industry to some problems of the present-day labor market.

Employers' hiring decisions and inefficiency in the market for economists

Article Abstract:

Employers' sampling process significantly affects the labor market. The decisions made at each level of the sampling process create an imbalance between labor supply and demand which is one of the main causes of underemployment efficiency in the labor market. Thus, applicants' decision to accept or reject job offers is not the sole determinant of employment or efficiency in the labor market.
