The relevance of the Marshallian concept of normality in interior and inertial dynamics as revisited by Shackle and Kornai

Article Abstract:

Marshall's theory about the long-period supply curve accommodates the idea of the businessman embracing change while also recognizing that there is an element of equilibrium because the reasoning behind the changes remains constant. This inside and outside perspective has been used to develop the concept of 'normal. However, Marshall can be criticised for not distinguishing between a supply curve which is visualized by a businessman who is looking at precise moments and a curve tracing the growth of the company over time. Shackle and Kornai have addressed this.

The emergence of technology systems: Knowledge production and distribution in the case of the Emilian plastics district

The emergence of a structured flow of complementary knowledge bases are integrated at different levels and supported by complementary interactions among a variety of knowledge producers.
