The socioeconomic problems of Russian science

Article Abstract:

The author argues that the Russian government must find ways to fund scientific research in order to maintain the country's economic and social stability. Government cutbacks for funding science research, dwindling numbers of scientific personnel, and social significance of scientific research to several generations of Russians are evaluated.
