What type of enterprise forges close links with universities and government labs? Evidence from CIS 2

Article Abstract:

The factors that allow firms to benefit from knowledge developed in universities and government labs or to collaborate with these institutions, based on the second Community Innovation Surveys (CIS2) are studied. The results suggest that large firms or firms with patent or those who receive government support, outright collaborations in innovation with universities and government labs.

The resource-based tangle: towards a sustainable explanation of competitive advantage

Article Abstract:

A sustained competitive advantage (SCA) held by a firm is dependant on resource-based view (RBV). The necessary conditions like uncertainty and immobility and additional conditions like the form of competition are to be separated to express SCA to propagate RBV.

Unraveling the resource-based tangle

Resource-based theory (RBT) is an example of integration of management and economics perspective. RBT should be understood only as a resource-level and efficiency-oriented analytical tool.
