A right Royal restoration

Article Abstract:

Interest in the British Royal family is being revived among top political scientists and historians, mainly due to growing concerns over the British constitution. Serious studies of the role of the monarchy are due to be published by eminent professors from both British and American universities. Public interest has always been high in the affairs of Royalty, although the forthcoming studies will not focus on the scandals regularly discussed in the tabloid newspapers. Some Royal biographies will concentrate solely on the political role of the monarch.

Fed up with the Feds

Article Abstract:

Harvard University Kennedy School of Government Dean Joseph Nye decided to return to academic life, from a spell in government, following the bombing of the federal building in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Nye suggests the government is perceived as being unable to fulfill expectations and solve the increasing economic problems. Politicians are seen in a different way since the introduction of negative political campaigns. The Watergate scandal and the failure in the Vietnam War also helped to increase the publics' negative attitudes to government.
