Globalization may be considered a new form of racism, as the rich and predominantly white-populated countries generally control the world's economy at the expense of poor nations. Because the wealthy countries also handle most scientific research, some activists fear that genetic engineering could lead to selective breeding of privileged people.

Experimentation on animals has brought about many important advances in biology and medical research, which have in turn improved living conditions for millions of people. Those who oppose vivisection through violent means are extremists who do not put the rights of human beings first.
