Minivacations: break away ... for a day or two

Article Abstract:

Minivacations can provide the necessary rest and relaxation for the overworked employee. More professionals are taking weekend out-of-town trips to relieve the daily work pressure and recharge their energies. The travel industry has responded to this trend by offering programs designed to entice the leisure traveler to avail of their services. Employees may opt for physical activities, spa visits or hobby trips while the business traveler may extend his trip for leisure purposes. Minivacations are needed to enhance an employee's health, well-being and productivity.

Dying for a good fry-up

Article Abstract:

Many chronic illnesses such as cancer and cardiovascular disease are linked to ageing and poor diet, although the death statistics vary enormously between countries, which indicates the difference in the effectiveness of national health drives. More British people die from cardiovascular disease than in Spain, Japan and France, although figures for common cancers and hip fractures are similarly variable. Potassium, calcium, omega three fatty acids, antioxidants and bioflavonoids are known to be healthy, and are available in fruit, vegetables and fatty fish.
