Eastell suspended as finances are queried

Article Abstract:

Richard Eastell, a medical scientist who is under investigation as a result of allegations of research misconduct at Sheffield University, has seen his local National Health Service trust suspend him from his role as director of research due to separate allegations of financial irregularities. The Sheffield Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust confirmed that Eastell had been suspended as research director while allegations of financial irregularity relating to the charging of tests conducted for research purposes were investigated.

Evidence was 'fabricated' on trade unionist

Article Abstract:

Maggie Andrews, a biosciences lecturer and trade union activist at Liverpool John Moores University, was the victim of a series of dishonesty allegations and misconduct by her colleagues, according to a ruling by university vice-chancellor Michael Brown. The ruling by Brown draws a line under an eight-year dispute, making it clear that a string of allegations against Andrews dating back to 1995 had no basis in truth.

Professor's links to 'guru' probed

Goldsmiths, University of London, confirmed February 2007 that it is investigating the relationship between a leading professor of counseling at the institution and a controversial self-styled therapy 'guru'. The university is looking into a complaint about the connections between Windy Dryden, professor of psychotherapeutic studies, and a therapy center run by Derek Gale.
