Eureka! Come and play to demystify those materials

Article Abstract:

The Dupont Canada professor in engineering education research and development at Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario, describes how she developed a composite course for engineering and design students with the aim of helping them understand the structural potential of the materials they work with. She found that the scheme helped engineering students develop their design skills and design students develop an understanding of the possibilities of the materials.
