Foreign affairs strategy: Bush's second term

Article Abstract:

The United States President George W. Bush presided over the most sweeping redesign of U.S. strategy since the days of F.D.R. in his first four years. The direction in his second term should remain same, such as restoring security in a more dangerous world and some midcourse corrections that are overdue, but he should also remember the art of speaking softly and the need for international diplomacy.

Treating colleges like cars: financial aid games

More and more colleges and universities are spending huge amounts of money in financial aid and other benefits to recruit high school graduates with promising athletic skills. No wonder students planning to enter college are becoming pragmatic consumers, basing their school choice on image and value.

Article Abstract:

The Constitutional Amendment on the right to carry firearms should be construed in the context of other constitutional rights. Pro-gun and gun control groups should realize that the right to bear arms is to be exercised within the bounds of reasonable regulation.
