Tories will take scissors to nightmare red tape

The shadow education secretary outlines the Conservatives plans for the higher education sector. It is contended that under the Conservatives, the amount of red tape faced by universities and colleges would be reduced while debt for students would be cut while cash for universities would be released.

An analysis of the Higher Education Bill and the impact that it will have on universities in the UK. It is argued that the Bill is bad for universities, but that universities have only themselves to blame after putting up a very feeble fight to prevent its passage into law.
