Jewish college in drive for recruits

Article Abstract:

The London College of Jewish Studies, UK, is offering a part-time BA course in Jewish studies in a move to attract mature students with no academic qualifications. The full-time course is being withdrawn due to a lack of sufficient candidates. The strictly orthodox college, which is an associate of the University of London, was founded in 1855. The college's first part-time BA course has been introduced by Professor David-Hillel Ruben, who was hired to reorganize and redirect the college.

Art of humour

Article Abstract:

David Starkey is a lecturer at the London School of Economics (LSE) and he is a prolific writer who also performs on radio. He is able to entertain a group of school students investigating the LSE, with his account of the UK monarchy. He argues that military uniforms were designed to display male rears and were part of a drive to invent a modern monarchy in Victorian and Edwardian times which was led by men who were openly gay or suppressed homosexuals.
