Juggling on a high wire

Article Abstract:

The funding methods for further education in the UK have grown complicated, making it very difficult for colleges to plan ahead. It has been proposed that the funding mechanism be reformed, in order to draw as many students as possible to provide cash for badly needed improvements to training and education. Funding appropriation must be made simple with minimal bureaucracy, and speed of response with enrolment is vital. Application of modern technology should make it easy to keep track of students and keep a central database. The present distinction between education and training should be removed as quickly as possible.
