Media Specialists and Microcomputers: 13 Aspects of a Changing Role

Article Abstract:

In many schools, the librarian is also the computer resource person. The role of the librarian as a computer resource person is discussed. A librarian and a media specialist from the Hawaiian school system are profiled. The included photographs show several school situations demonstrating microcomputer use in the library. The included resource chart lists a number of books and articles on computers and education.

Documentation: What Do Teachers Want?

Article Abstract:

The classroom teacher's job does not include the role of curriculum developer. Innovative software companies are the ones to develop educational courseware. The companies must also develop documentation or a teachers guide to market their product. Criteria for this guide are given.
