Must science always end up on the altar ?

Article Abstract:

Cardinal Alfonso Lopez Trujillo, head of the Vatican unit in charge of family policy, has said that all involved in stem-cell research should be excommunicated. Predicting any immediate effect this may have is hard, but in America the influence of the Catholic Church has already resulted in federal government-sponsored stem-cell research being restricted.

Love without the sex object; sexual identity

Article Abstract:

Many writers argue as to whether sexual identity is given to us by society or is innate. Homosexuality is a purely human activity and so could be said to be created by society. Our sexual inclinations are thought to be innate, regardless of the prevailing view of society.
