Publisher's Prophecies: Elmo Introduces Astron Portable VHS Professional Video System

Article Abstract:

Elmo Mfg. Corp. has introduced the new, advanced Astron Professional Video System costing $899.95. The system is composed of the Elmo ER-10 Cassette Recorder, the Elmo ET-10 Video Tuner-Timer, the Elmo EC-10 Video Camera and a wireless sixteen-function Infra-Red Remote Control. The ER-10 weighs less than five pounds, utilizing four direct-drive motors and a four-head video cylinder that provides clear and noiseless slow and still playback. The EC-10 Video Camera weighs less than two pounds, uses zoom lens, pickup tube and focus-free operation. The camera is also equipped with a boom microphone that automatically sets white balance and is Beta adaptable. A photograph of the video system is included.

Grolier Educational Corp. distributes the Knowledge Explorer Series. The Knowledge Explorer Series consists of five programs that use a computer and the New Book of Knowledge encyclopedia. InforMaster teaches database management. GraphMaster teaches creating and reading graphs. Max Dublin's Treasure is a beginner's text adventure game. Isle of Mem is an advanced text adventure game. WonderQuest is an interest exploration program designed to promote encyclopedia usage. The included screen displays show some of the games.
