Article Abstract:

Grade Manager is an easy to use managerial program for teachers. It contains five utility programs and three optional programs. 'Grading Method' allows the defining of categories for scoring purposes, and the defining of grades in per cent of curve scales. 'Scores' enters grades. 'Computer Grades' calculates individual grades as well as semester and final averages and exams. 'Print Grades' produces hard copies and progress reports. With its back up disk, and good documentation, this program receives a high recommendation.

Article Abstract:

Astro Quotes is a computer game which helps to develop several Language Arts skills for levels 9 to 12+. Students guess well- known quotations at one of three levels of difficulty, by using synonyms to guess four clue words. Quotes are partially revealed from clue word letters. With correct spelling, students can fill in missing letters, and guess the quotes. Astro Quotes is reviewed as an excellent aid for teaching quotations logic, and developing vocabulary.

Article Abstract:

Master Type is a computer game which uses color, sound and motion to teach typing skills. Students score by typing letters which are firing missiles at the player's ship. Letters are presented in levels of increasing difficulty. Speed can be adjusted. On-screen help is available and students can earn points by improving their typing skills.
