The earth as lab: scientists are increasingly confident that they can pinpoint the culprits of global warming

Article Abstract:

The awareness that pollution can damage the environment was learned centuries ago during the infamous London smogs. However environmental problems are no longer local, but global, with likely irreversible effects. The synergistic effect of altering climates and environmental fragmentation is a potentially serious problem. Hoever some critics believe that it has not been confidently demonstrated that climate change is indeed happening, and if it is, there is a need to find out why.

Heatwaves, droughts, floods - that is just a hint of what's in store for a hotter planet

Article Abstract:

The impact of the man's alteration of Earth's environment have resulted in changes such as global warming, deforestation, and ozone depletion in the stratosphere. These, in turn, affect our health through increased natural disasters such as flooding and drought, more heat-related deaths, and more areas affected by infectious diseases such as malaria.
