Ladbroke's Hilton International division will become the second-largest hotel operator in the UK as a result of Ladbroke's agreed offer for Stakis, which values the latter concern at around 1.2 billion pounds sterling. The stock market has reacted positively to the deal, and has also begun considering other potential takeovers. These include the possibility that Vaux Group may be the target of a bid, particularly from Swallow Hotels.
