Article Abstract:

The Higher Education Funding Council for Wales has developed a successful collaborative approach to assessing teaching quality levels in higher education. The partnership scheme focuses heavily on self-evaluation and self-assessment. Assessments are managed by a quality assessment manager, with all institutions able to nominate staff to attend meetings held by the assessment team. A specialist subject assessor can be nominated if required.
