What the governors think

Article Abstract:

A survey conducted by American Vocational Association showed that 75% of the the 50 Governors and their education advisors, who responded to the survey showed their support for the proposed House's CAREERS Act and Senate's Workforce Development Act. Governors also supported developing cooperation between professionals in the vocational education field and business people for planning and implementing various tech prep, integration, and technical skills. Reduced support for social sciences education and sex equality programs was shown by the governors.

Article Abstract:

The professor of theology at Trinity College, Dublin University, explains why he is running a series of eight evening lectures to reveal the real history behind the conspiracy theories portrayed in Dan Brown's "The Da Vinci Code". It is argued that, while the book is not particularly well written, it has generated such a degree of interest that academics should take it more seriously than they do.

Going keyless: electronic lockers can eliminate keys and coins

Article Abstract:

A computerized keyless system for opening and securing storage lockers at aquatic facilities is examined. The system has an interface similar to ATM machines, accepts a variety of payment media, and allows users to choose their own security code.
