Ray Kwong, who heads Scram Technologies Inc., explains the technicalities of 'ScramScreen', a display device and expects to bring the price of, say a 52-inch flat display down to the $2000 range. There are many other companies too, who are pursuing ways to expand the capability of big/flat screen products.

Battening down for the storms after Sony, TiVo, Adelphia and other deals

The impact of the recent deals of Sony purchasing MGM and TiVo's new partnership with Netflix on enetretainment industry is analyzed. It is suggested that these deals will indirectly affect future of digital video disk (DVD), Digital Video Recorder (DVR) and other media markets in future.
