Inflatable bladder solves duct-sealing problem

Article Abstract:

Electrical duct sealing has been made easy and effective with the use of the Rayflate inflatable seal. The inflatable bladder of flexible metallic/polymer laminate material can be inflated to a pressure of 45 psig to effectively seal around cables, reducing inflow of water into the ducts.

Integration system aids power-network operation

The American Electric Power Service Corp replaced aging relays on its extra-high-voltage power lines at one of its substations with the G-NET integration and automation system. The system improved the ability of the substation to communicate with other locations.
