Energy firms need to leverage the additional information they amassed about market dynamics and customer preferences in order to fully gain a competitive edge. Leveraging requires that the information be fused with market intelligence and data from suppliers and partners to aid in employees' decision-making.

Siemens expands its role in the nuclear industry

Siemens has consolidated its US operations into Siemens Power Corp., consisting of the Fossil Division and the Nuclear Division. The latter is the third largest US maker of nuclear fuels. It is focusing on advanced fuels development and a zero failure goal.

Low credit rating fails to derail Chinese cogen plant
