Integrated substation looks like one RTU to dispatchers

Article Abstract:

Portland General Electric Co. has adopted the substation integration system (SIS) approach for the supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system at its Carver substation. The SIS enables all equipment in the substation to communicate with each other via a data bus which is linked to a local computer and the SCADA.
