Interlinking standards empower home networks for new tasks

Article Abstract:

New wireless standards from Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the technologies compatible with these standards, and the benefits of these technologies, are discussed. Spatial multiplexing, a key MIMO technology, is also described.

Industry sees 3G growing under converged platform

The details pertaining to the 3G World Congress and Exhibition, which was held in Hong Kong between November 16 and 18th, 2005 are presented. The focus of the exhibition was on the future technology, which will be part of 3G and mobile telephony.

Japan re-allocates mobile phone frequencies, tests 1.7GHz 3G services

Article Abstract:

Japan's Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications is planning to allocate 1.7GHz frequency bandwidth for mobile phone service providers. The ministry is also taking opinions of new 3G service providers on the allocation of new bandwidth.
