M64287U LSI, M64285FP artificial retina LSIs

Article Abstract:

Mitsubishi Electric Corp's artificial retina M64287U LSI adopts 100,000 pixels in a 352 X 288-pixel configuration, while its M64285FP LSI packs 1,000 pixels in a 32 X 32-pixel configuration. In combination with a 16- bit microcontroller, the Y2,000 M64287U functions in surveillance cameras, image-processing cameras and fingerprint reference systems. Meanwhile, the Y1,000 M64285FP, working with an 8-bit microcontroller, can attain real- time image recognition.
