SD-3110 DVD players with digital decoders

Article Abstract:

Toshiba Corp's SD-3110 DVD player incorporates a High-Definition- Compatible Digital decoder and a Dolby Digital 5.1-channel decoder. To expand video frequency characteristics and decrease extra-band noise, the open-priced player features a video encoder equipped with a Super Sub Alias Filter. SD-3110 allows reproduction of sound faithful to the original with its linear pulse code modulation-compatible audio digital- to-analog converter.

DVD-S717 players

Article Abstract:

Onkyo Corp has introduced its DV-S717 DVSD player. The product also plays CDs and Video CDs, using one dedicated laser pickup for DVDs and another for CDs. DVD-S717 features terminals for Dolby Digital and Surround Sound inputs and component color image output. The product has a 24-bit digital- analog converter with 96kHz sampling for auduo and a 10-bit D/A converter for image reproduction. DVD-S717 is priced at 85,000 yen ($697).
