Matsushita aims for 40 percent share of worldwide DVC market

Article Abstract:

Matsushita Electric Industrial Co Ltd has launched its latest lines of digital videocassette (DVC) recorders. The company offers four mainstream DVC products: the top-end NVDS77, one of the most compact DVC camcorders with vertical format; the NV-EX1, one of the smallest 3-CCD models; the NV-DX1000 and the NVDA1. The NV-EX3, is one of the lightest and smallest vertical-format DVC camcorders, features a 2.5-in thin-film transistor LCD with 200,000 pixels and a 570,000-pixel CCD with an image stabilizer function.

DVC camcorder edits non-linear images

Article Abstract:

Matsushita Electric Industrial Co Ltd of Japan has introduced its Compact Multi-Digicam NV-MG3 Digital Videocassette camcorder. The model can edit nonlinear moving images by connecting to a Power Macintosh G-3 series computer through an i.Link or IEEE 394 cable, downloading the moving pictures from the camcorder to the computer and using the Digital Origin Edit DV unplugged software. The camcorder comes with a 4MB MultiMedia card for storing between 25 to 100 still images.
