MicrosoftEs living room assaults, coming from different directions, add to confusion

Article Abstract:

The features of MicrosoftEs Media Center PC and TV2 are discussed. Both the products share the same feature though they differ a lot in the Electronic Program Guides (EPG) feature. Media Center EPG offers the feature to jump between program rosters while TV2 EPG gives the flexibility to customize the program lineup. Competing with TV2 can be a major hurdle for the Media Center PC as there are many set top equipment providers.

How hard can it be to sell HDTV?

CEA had admitted that consumers are confused by the options and overall technical challenges of buying into HDTV and that 34 % of prospective customers have decided not to buy an HDTV. Such research studies and the more widely distributed scare-tactic stories about legal chaos create the dismal environment for millions of potential customers.
