FILL X-RS9R minicomponent system

Article Abstract:

Pioneer Electronic Corp has unveiled the X-RS9R minicomponent system featuring a three-CD changer and a CD recorder. The X-RS9R comes with I/O terminals for MiniDisc players, enabling recording from MDs to recordable CDs and from CDs to MDs. It is also equipped with a semi-dome tweeter with a diaphragm made of light and strong polyphenylene terephthalamide resin film. It reproduces music at 20KHz or more, and sells for 87,000 yen, or $813.

XR-MD520 MiniDisc minicomponent system

Article Abstract:

Aiwa Co Ltd introduces its XR-MD520 MiniDisc (MD) minicomponent system that incorporates an MD long-play function. This offers up to 320 min of recording on an 80-min MD. A monaural recording mode enables recording up to 160 min on an 80-min MD. From CDs to MDs, the product allows 2x dubbing. The whole system, consisting of speakers and a main unit, measures 48.5 cm wide. The main unit features a CD player, and MD player, a cassette deck and a tuner. XR-MD520 employs BBE sound processing and a 60W amplifier.

Minicomponent features MD-to-MD recording, high-tech editing

Article Abstract:

Pioneer Corp's X-MC5MD MiniDisc (MD) minicomponent system, which is sold at Y99,800, is capable to perform double-speed recording from MD to MD. The product, which features an MD keyword search function, provides users a wide variety of recording options with its advanced mechanisms such as a three-CD changer and a double-recording 1MD+3MD changer. X-MC5MD is capable of playing three MDs or three CDs non-stop.
