New DSP powers Hitachi Denshi's fully digital camera system

Article Abstract:

Hitachi Denshi will display its SK-3000 studio camera and SK-3000P portable camera at NAB's 1999 annual trade show. Both models use 2.2- million-pixel frame interline transfer CCD, which delivers fine resolution and excellent S/N ratio. The two cameras also use Hitachi Denshi's 0.35- micron, 1.8-million-gate digital signal processor, which has flesh-tone detailing and masking capabilities. They also come with an optical fiber cable for transmitting digital signals from the camera head to the camera control unit.

Hitachi Denshi widens focus, bolsters business on all fronts

Article Abstract:

Hitachi Denshi Ltd is implementing the Intelligent Security and Surveillance Project to support its drive to capture an additional 5% of the market for surveillance systems in Japan and an extra 5% of markets outside the country. The company is using its extensive knowledge of broadcast equipment to capture 25% of the market in Japan and to push sales to 30 billion yen by 2002. Public facilities and government offices will be the main target of Hitachi Denshi's marketing campaigns.

Hitachi Denshi aims to broaden scope of CCD camera use

Article Abstract:

Hitachi Denshi Ltd, a major supplier of charge-coupled devices (CCDs) cameras in Japan, is focusing its development efforts on products that will broaden the uses for the CCD cameras. The expansion of Hitachi Denshi's CCD camera lineup is intended to meet demand in different areas, including factory automation, crime-prevention, environmental monitoring and medical fields.
