Article Abstract:

Allegheny Power Service Corp. has awarded the contract to Digital Inspections to develop the Cascade client/server maintenance management system. The Cascade system allowed Allegheny to reap the benefits of centralizing data and making it instantaneously available to field personnel, allowing for quick maintenance decisions. The Cascade system analyzes equipment history and maintenance schedules as a basis of its prompts for maintenance.

Article Abstract:

The increasing demand for power distribution in SE Nevada has prompted NPC to adopt the Deutsch PowerLok System as a means of accelerating the creation of electrical substations. The system uses aluminum fittings for connecting busbars, thereby discarding the need for welding and bolting.
