Panasanic cultivates pace-setting advances for DVC camcorders

Article Abstract:

Matsushita Electric Industrial Co Ltd of Japan has launched its latest lines of Digital Videocasette camcorders under the Panasonic brand. The models include the 510-gm NVDS33EN and the NV-DS33ENA which features some of the smallest Digital Video mechanism. The camcorders feature advanced functions such as the Progressive Photoshot for crisp-quality images, 110x digital zoom capability and a digital still picture terminal for transferring camcorder images directly to a personal computer.

JVC seeks to crest digital wave with DV-standard camcorders

Article Abstract:

Victor Company of Japan Ltd has launched its latest lineup of digital camcorders for 1999. The latests models , which include the GR-DVL20, the GR-DVL30 and the GR-DVL 40, integrate 800,000-pixel fine-resolution CCDs and adopt the 4:2:0 component technology as well as JVC's 160x super digital zoom with spline interpolation technology and proprietary picture stabilizer function. Other models in the lineup are the deluxe GR-DVL9600 and the DVL9500, and the pocket-sized GR-DVX7 and DVX4.

Canon banks on fine picture quality to spur DVC camcorders

Article Abstract:

Canon Inc of Japan has launched its latest offerings of Digital Videocassete (DVC) camcorders. These include the PV1, a vertical-format DVC featuring a progressive scanning CCD, an RGB primary filter and 2.5-in LCD plus color viewfinder; the MV1 single-plate DVC camcorder integrating a signal-processing LSI and a 1/4-in 380,000-pixel progressive scanning CCD; and the XL-1 with an interchangeable lens system.
