Article Abstract:

FCC has approved the obroadcast flago, a technical feature designed to prevent Internet distribution of HDTV content. Supporters of the new measure say that Internet piracy will be reduced and availability of HD content will increase. Opponents say that it is an attempt to dictate how CE products are designed and it encroaches on consumerEs rights of content. The concerns of the supporters and the opponents to the obroadcast flago are discussed in detail.

Wish upon an energy star. Those cost-saving, environmentally friendly products could have strong appeal in the summer months

More and more consumers are turning towards energy saving and environmental friendly products. Products that conform to the strict energy standards set by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) get the Energy Star seal. The annual savings with an Energy Star certified appliance compared to a non- Energy Star appliance are examined.
