Article Abstract:

Richard Cubbage of the Army and Air Force Exchange Service was awarded by the National Retail Federation for his work in an investigation that identified a cashier who stole about $114,000 within an eight -month period. A survey by the NRC shows that 79% of retailers have been victimized by organized retail crime (ORC) and 79% of retailers have seen an increase in ORC activity. The loss prevention department formed by Cubbage resulted in a 300% increase in detection and 30% reduction in theft .
