Mobile phones, personal digital assistants (PDAs) and other hand held sets make use of Liquid Crystal Displays (LCDs) technology. The LCDs offer advantages in color, brightness, size and weight. But one draw back they have is that they present information on only one of their surfaces. The results for double-sided LCDs are also been dissatisfying. Mitsubishi Electric Corp introduced in February reversible LCDs. The features and advantages the LCD offers is discussed.
