Chris Phloridis and Derek Kenney first teamed in 1994 and won double victories at the 1995 International Auto Sound Challenge Association for a stereo system installed in Phloridis' 1987 Toyota Supra. They have paired again to install a high-tech audio/video entertainment system in the Supra, including 2 LCD monitors, a portable DVD player and a Sony PlayStation. Detailed descriptions of the equipment used are given.

Mike Hudson has placed a state of the art audio system in his 1991 Ford Festiva. Hudson never intended to install an expensive system in an inexpensive car, but the small car was needed for a daily commute and Hudson missed the powerful sounds of his old car. Hudson worked at a car stereo company and, with some help, ended up with an impressive system that cost almost $15,000 for the equipment.

Article Abstract:
Brian Wilkinson has a customized stereo system in his '86 Pontiac Fiero GT that he estimates cost around $60,000. The system took 5th place at the '98 International Auto Sound Challenge Association Finals in the Expert 601+ class. Wilkinson designed the system, but turned to professionals for the installation. A sound test proved that the system worked as it should.
