A decision analysis model for comparing well completion techniques

Article Abstract:

A model framework has been designed to help oil and gas manufacturers determine the best quality of completion method for multiple pay horizons. The model actually provides discretionary parameters by which all existing variables of the three major completion methods, which include dual completion and two single completion models, are evaluated. Further, it has been determined that among the three methods, the dual completion technique is the most cost-effective alternative.

A strategic planning model for oilfield service and supply companies

Article Abstract:

A strategic planning model is developed and analyzed. The model is established for the support of firms in the oilfield equipment and services industry. The model integrates a supply curve which describes a relationship between oil and gas barrel prices and expected drilling volume. Application of the model is presented for oil and gas exploration in 48 US states. Results show that the model can predict future uncertainties.

The role of infrastructure practices in the effectiveness of JIT practices: implications for plant competitiveness

Article Abstract:

This paper examines the role of infrastructure practices in the effectiveness of JIT practices using data obtained from factories based in the U.S., Italy, and Japan. The paper shows that with the exception of manufacturing strategy, all other infrastructure practices, individually moderate the relationship between JIT practices and plant competitiveness.
