A higher degree of quality

Article Abstract:

Quality Progress (QP) is on its second year of overseeing colleges and universities in their pursuit of quality improvement. QP has revealed a 1992 list of schools that are making use of quality tools in their administration and giving quality-related courses and degrees to students. An overwhelming increase is seen on the year's list with 160 universities and 60 community colleges participating. In addition, QP found out that more schools are presenting seminars and courses to local businesses utilizing TQM tools.

Congressional Forum on Quality Education

Article Abstract:

The Congressional Forum on Quality Education was held last Sep 17, 1992 inWashington, DC and was atteded by educators nationwide. The forum was started by Rep Don Ritter and the Republican Study Committee. It afforded congressional members the chance to comprehend fully the principles of quality and how educators can utilize them to enhance the US education system. Presently, there are a number of bills in congress which call for the institution of national education quality awards.

Forecasting the future of quality

Article Abstract:

Experts on total quality management, Philip Crosby, Armand V. Feigenbaum and Joseph M. Juran, share their opinions of what leaders of the 21st century will be like. All three believe that quality leaders will be executives who have backgrounds in management, education and statistics and areconcerned with techniques, personal development and the implementation of quality programs. Juran provides a list of who he believes will be prominent quality leaders in the 21st century.
