A knead for greater strength

Article Abstract:

A small Russian company invented a simple technique of achieving maximum strength on making products from cement to concrete blocks, cement fabrications and powder compacts that improves some food processing operations. The developers also see its applications in the grinding, mixing and in various other branches of industry. The technique is said to be much more effective than vibration.

Planetary gears do away with side forces

Article Abstract:

An ingenious mechanism that allow a reciprocating piston to turn a shaft through a connecting rod which remains permanently in line with the direction of piston motion is reported. Engines and reciprocating pumps have the potential to be more efficient, smaller and much quieter than traditional designs.
