The Food and Drug Administration promulgated regulatory requirements that manufacturing companies have to comply. Continuous improvement using six sigma is a means to meet ISO requirements and the cGMP or current good manufacturing practice. Optical Integrity Inc.Es compliance requirements matrix is also presented.

Genentech error proofs its batch records

Genentech Inc., a biotechnology firm has embarked on an error-proofing project for avoiding documentation errors. The main goal of the firm is to reduce the rate of errors by 5%. Six Sigma and lean tools had been used in the project that led to significant improvements.
