Australians Develop Train-Driving Simulator

Article Abstract:

The Australian company ACE-T Pty. Ltd. has developed a train-driving simulator that it is trying to market in the U.S. The real-time system simulates a locomotive control stand and operates both interactively and in batch mode. The TDS 1000 allows training of engineers without the inconvenience of using rolling stock and can also be used for planning.

Process Quality Simulator

Article Abstract:

The Process Quality Simulator, from Navone Engineering, is a software package that evaluates the quality of parts yielded by a production process. The production process is simulated and the percentages of good and bad parts sent to customers is calculated. The program runs on the IBM PC, and the Apple II, II+, IIe and IIc. It costs $135.

LTV's Missile Dynamic Simulator Cuts Costly, Time-Consuming Flight Testing

Article Abstract:

The Missile Dynamic Simulator (MDS), developed by LTV Aerospace and Defense Company, is used in the development and evaluation of missile systems. It simulates flight guidance and control systems. Flight hardware and software are tested in a computer-modeled weapon system.
