CMM software streamlines contract inspection shop

Article Abstract:

Bley Metrology used a computer-aided design software tool for its coordinate-measuring machines (CMM) to streamline operations at its contract inspection shop in Elk Grove, IL. Bley Metrology, which inspects complex machined and plastic injection-molded parts for the medical, aerospace, automotive and plastic-injection molding industries, replaced its three different software systems with the VirtualDMIS CMM software from International Metrology Systems. VirtualDMIS provided compatibility, power, versatility and ease of administration to Bley Metrology.

Automatic vision inspection beats manual 5 to 1

Article Abstract:

The Quick Vision Barracuda 202, from MTI Corp, provides automatic vision inspection of injection molding dies for the automotive industry. In particular, the system helps frank Buytkus of Noatex Corp to reduce his inspection time from 17 days to five days with great accuracy and quality. Measurement, data analysis and transcription are now all automated compared to his previous technique of using manual microscopes.

Production-monitoring system keeps goals in sight

Article Abstract:

Y.H. America gained substantial leverage from its cutting-edge monitoring system designed by Cincinnati-based Redwolf Industries Inc. The system did not only expedite the country's transition to an end-of-the shift scheme, but increased its production rate, as well. The monitoring equipment further accelerate the shipment of goods by remarkably reducing cycle time by as much as 11%.
