Article Abstract:

Three new CAD software packages have been launched, each allowing different CAD users to work effectively together. CoCreate's OneSpace Version 4 allows users to view, manipulate and transfer 3D models which are normally incompatible. Meanwhile, SolidWorks UK is making available its eDrawings software that allows intelligent 2D drawings to be sent as compressed files with some 3D capabilities. Matra Datavision is making its Open cascade tools freely available to anyone who wants to develop their own applications.
