Design-testing time cut at least 50%

Article Abstract:

Acadia Polymers has successfully cut its design-testing time by at least 50% with the installation of a new test equipment that allows in-house testing of products. The test equipment allows transmission seals to be tested under rotations as high as 8,000 rpm, pressures as high as 500 psi and temperatures as high as 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Other benefits that the company enjoys include more confidence in products and increased ability to keep up with production demands.

Overcome team problems

Article Abstract:

Group activities can be very productive if team problems are minimized or avoided. Electroplating alternatives don't mean new gages

Article Abstract:

Companies are being pressured to adopt product coating alternatives to electroplating, due mainly to environmental concerns. Among the alternatives available are physical vapor deposition, chemical vapor deposition, thermal spray and plasma source ion implantation. Existing test equipment and procedures are suitable for testing the coatings produced by the alternatives.
