Travel tips: get more out of business trips by applying project-management skills

Article Abstract:

Business trips are a way to win business and forge connections with other parts of the company. Determining the end dates, the rough itinerary and key meetings is a good starting point when planning for a business trip. Also, avoiding meetings after returning from the trip could give you time to take care of the business that piled up while you were gone from work.

Railroads still highly attractive

Article Abstract:

Microprocessors are increasingly used in such automotive and public transit applications as: fuel control; braking systems; fare collection; maintenance and management information systems; and train propulsion and control. Architecture for an integrated control and information system for rail operators is under development by US and Canadian railroads.
