EPA finalizes HON amendments

Article Abstract:

The US Environmental Protection Agency has finalized the proposed revisions to the 1994 Hazardous Organic National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants on January 22, 2001. The revisions, which were proposed by the agency in January 2000, are intended to lessen the burden associated with developing operating permits for plants subject to the rule. However, the revisions do not alter the standard control requirements of the rule.
