Article Abstract:

The issue of electrical engineering's identity crisis and whether it has become vast and vital profession to become unrecognizably diffuse is discussed. The engineers are working with bigger and bigger functional blocks, assembling them with increasingly powerful tools and getting further from both the messiness and satisfactions of the real world.

Whoosh Boom Splat contains instructions for building a compressed air cannon that shoots T-shirts. PVC pipes are the main equipment for this project and most other parts can be bought at a local hardware.
